19th STUDY CAMP ON THE AUTUMN MIGRATION OF PREDATORY BIRDS IN THE TREVISO PROVINCE (ASOLO HILLS – MOUNT TOMBA).

From August 15 Agosto to September 5 2012, the 19° Observation Camp for Predatory Birds in Migration above the Treviso Prealpi will take place. The monitoring will be continuous every day from 9 am to 6-7 pm.


To reach S. Giorgio Hill (see map) arrive in Maser and continue north up via Vittorio Emanuele towards Forcella Mostaccin. Once you reach the pass, continue downwards for 500-600 m until on the left you find a small parking space and a path that will take you to the S. Giorgio Hill (420 m. asl) in about 10 minutes.

In 2011, 10.617 predatory birds were counted. 10.508, that is 98,97% were hawks falchi pecchiaioli (pernis apovorus)
